Meet the Team: Witney's New Senior Physiotherapist!

Abbey Mobile Physio has an exciting new team member, specifically for the Witney area! Maddy Crabb has joined us as a senior physiotherapist, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for “seeing people make progress and get back to doing the things they enjoy”. Today we’re finding out more about her and the services she’s providing for Witney residents.

What is a Senior Physiotherapist? 

“I help people recover from injuries, regain their independence and improve their quality of life,” shares Maddy, “whether that’s due to an injury, fall, fracture, neurological condition or general deconditioning.” 

After completing her BSc in Physiotherapy at Cardiff University, Maddy moved on to further specialist training and work within the NHS on stroke, respiratory and elderly care wards. It’s this experience which has led her to Abbey Mobile Physio.

“Every day can be quite different”, Maddy says, describing an average day with Abbey Mobile Physio. “My average day at work involves assessing, treating and rehabilitating a variety of different conditions”. This is why it’s so important to us that our team has experience and training across a variety of areas, each day and each client deserves specialist focus. 

A Really Rewarding Job

Most importantly, life as a physiotherapist is about the people. “I find it really rewarding seeing people make progress and get back to doing the things they enjoy,” says Maddy, sharing more about why she wanted to become a physio. “I have always loved sport and have had my own experiences of injury and rehabilitation. I really enjoy being part of someone’s rehabilitation journey.” 

This love of sport continues for Maddy outside of her job, particularly enjoying running, netball and spending time with her close community of family and friends.
