What is it?
Our physiotherapy-led Strength & Balance Classes are based in Witney. They are designed to help you move with greater confidence, improve your strength and balance, and reduce your risk of falls.
These classes take place in Witney every Wednesday morning, and will be led by our Senior Physiotherapist: Maddy.
Our new Strength & Balance Classes will be launching soon.
Class venues, days and times are currently being finalised and will be confirmed ahead of our first programme.
What's Included?
For £10 per session, every participant receives:

Personalised recommendation for the most appropriate class level

Falls Prevention Home Exercise Programme

Weekly 45-minute physiotherapy-led exercise classes
Who Are These Classes For?
These classes may be suitable if you:
-
Want to improve your strength, balance and confidence.

Feel unsteady on your feet or are worried about falling.
-
Have experienced a fall or a near fall.
-
Have noticed reduced mobility or confidence with everyday activities.

Are able to walk short distances independently or with a walking aid, such as a stick or walking frame.

What Happens During a Class?
Each 45-minute session includes:

Gentle warm-up exercises
-
Progressive strength training
-
Balance exercises
-
Functional movement practice for everyday activities

Walking and gait training
-
Dual-task exercises to improve balance while performing everyday tasks

Cool down and stretching

Progress Review appointments are optional and charged separately.
Meet your instructor & physiotherapist
Maddy has a Bachelor degree (BSc Hons) in Physiotherapy from Cardiff University. She has experience working across both the NHS and private practice in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. With a particular interest in neurological rehabilitation.
She has a passion for helping people regain confidence in their movement, improve their independence, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
When she's not at work, Maddy enjoys running, strength training and hiking, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.
