Cancellation Policy of Abbey Mobile Physio
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours’ notice. To cancel your appointment, please call us on 07474 328 350 and if there is no answer, please leave a message stating your name and cancellation. Alternatively, you can send an email to info@abbeymobilephysio.co.uk.
Late cancellation charges
The minimum cancellation period for appointments is 24 hours. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment the full charge for the appointment will be levied in accordance with our cancellation policy. The full charge equates to what you would be charged if the appointment were to have happened, meaning it includes both the cost of the appointment plus the cost of any additional mileage.
Why do we ask patients to levy the full treatment cost?
Because someone else could have been treated during that appointment time. Many physiotherapists operate with regular waiting lists and late cancellations mean doubly wasted time and patients enduring discomfort and pain unnecessary.
In addition to this, as home physiotherapists, our schedule includes travel time so if there is a late cancellation, our time is blocked off where we could see someone else.
Will the insurance company pay for this?
Insurance companies do not pay cancellation charges. We ask ALL patients to settle their own account for these charges.
Our Rights to Cancel and Applicable Refund
We may need to amend or cancel your appointment, even after this has been confirmed, due to circumstances beyond our control. We will contact you as soon as possible if this happens.
If one of our physiotherapists or trainers has to cancel an appointment, we will endeavour to find an alternative physiotherapist or trainer.
Unpaid Accounts
Debts which remain outstanding for 2 months after the appointment date will be passed to a debt collector and any costs incurred must be met by the patients. A 40% surcharge will be added to the outstanding debt to cover administrative costs.
